Just some of the creatures that you are likely to
see during your visit are yellow tang, raccoon butterfly fish,
whale sharks and frigate birds.
As many as four to five
whale sharks can be
seen on a dive and this experience should not be missed by divers visiting Belize
during these full moons.
The highest numbers of
whale sharks can usually be
seen during July.
I
saw five
whale sharks during my dive as well as being able to dive up the infamous chimney (the coolest vertical swim up a hollow rock formation) and
seeing wildlife from 18m all the way up to 2m!
The spectacular
whale shark can be
seen but they are more likely to be spotted
during their season which runs from April through to June; even then you may not
see one as they tend to feed at night.
Whale Sharks are also around all year with the high season being between October & April, when sightings of up to 20 can be
see during a boat ride out to the dive sites.
A biologist / naturalist will be onboard throughout the day to answer questions you may have about
whale sharks or any other wildlife you'll
see during your adventure.
During the
whale shark season, it is also possible to
see manta rays.
