I've seen maybe a million (okay more
like a few dozen)
granola recipes in my life, and I always thought they
seemed pretty time consuming, but how wrong I was.
A lot of times things you do to / put on nuts tends to fall off the nut, which drives me batty, but this
granola mixture
seems like it will stay stuck to the nut very well.
You can try making
granola bars completely without oats (the crunchy
granola bar recipe
seems like the best candidate).

seemed like an incredible amount of
granola, and how many people would donate?
Side note: I know that an hour
seems like a long time to let the
granola cook but in order to get a crunchy texture, it needs a while to dry out the moisture from the banana, maple and peanut butter mixture.
I love
granola but tend to avoid purchasing any due to additives and high sugar content, but this variation
seems like an excellent solution to avoiding those things!

If you bake it until it
seems hard and crispy,
like granola is, then you're probably cooking it for too long.

i began thinking of ways to incorporate these two flavor powerhouses into things i eat regularly and with autumn here,
granola seemed like a good candidate.

seem healthy are actually loaded with sugar,
