It definitely made a lot of PlayStation owners jealous (Imagine if they had
seen the Shenmue prototype at that time).

see Shenmue I&II remastered for current consoles though that would be entirely up to Sega.

In order to understand why we won't ever
see a Shenmue III, we must first understand what Shenmue is as a series.
The people wished for years and years to
see Shenmue return to our screens, and while many likely gave up hope, maybe their dreams are set to become reality.
The Shenmue games have a huge fan base still (the same ones that seem convinced we'll
see Shenmue 3 someday), so it seems inevitable at this point.
Anyone who knows me is aware that I love the Dreamcast, and as such I'd love to
see Shenmue on PlayStation.
Seeing Shenmue on the «most hoped revival» list is kinda odd to me, seeing as we already know there's a new game in the making.

Shenmue exclusivity will cause a ruckus, because although it's a deeply niche series, amongst the hardcore gaming community, it's a beloved unique gem that fans have been clamouring to
see closure on for over a decade.

After working on one of the first 3D fighting games (Virtua Fighter) at Sega, he
saw potential for the freedom of interactivity in a 3D environment, and went on to create the two
Shenmue games (we fans are still waiting for the 3rd installment).

It was a decent enough Mario Kart clone and it was nice to
see old Sega characters like Ryo from
Shenmue getting another chance at the limelight.
Without making this article completely about
Shenmue I'll end it in this last sentence; the level of depth that
Shenmue provided to its town I've yet to
see in any video game and it is this depth that helps provide the extra level needed to truly become immersed.
When I think of
Shenmue, I think of Yu Suzuki, it was his baby and I would love to
see him return to the project.
We may have gotten to
see some tantalising new footage from a number of already announced games, but there were no new reveals on the scale of last year's Final Fantasy VII remake or
Shenmue 3.
We finally got to
see two of the biggest fan requested games in their finest form: Final Fantasy VII Remake and
Shenmue 3.
At Sony's showpiece, punctuated by a mightily raucous crowd, the company won over legions of gamers by announcing that it would remake Final Fantasy VII (one of the most iconic games of all time), and that there would be a new game in the
Shenmue franchise, a hugely acclaimed cult Sega series that has not been
seen since 2001.
It doesn't sound like they're changing much at all, but it's good to
see the original
Shenmue games available off of the Dreamcast and the original Xbox.
Following on from the original cult classics there's bound to be some overlap, though we've yet to
see the extent to which
Shenmue has been modernised for both fans and new audiences.
However, one game has
seen more delays recently than most,
Shenmue III.
With
Shenmue III right around the corner, many fans have hoped to
see HD remasters of the first two
Shenmue games beforehand.
Shenmue and Final Fantasy VII were very different experiences but they were both, in many ways, pioneers in their sectors and some of the most memorable moments of both games were the inane quirks which don't fit neatly into the sleek user experiences we
see in most games today.
The Final Fantasy VII remake trailer gave me goosebumps and I'm sure any
Shenmue 3 promotional material (by this point even a graphically updated Ryu drinking a can of delicious soda) will have the same effect, but to avoid heartbreak and disappointment we have to wait to
see what these games will actually be.
After so long since the announcement, we're sure to finally
see something more than screenshots and a placeholder trailer at E3 2018 for
Shenmue 3.
However, it seems that Spiderman is taking hints from the original
Shenmue games and using them in a way that actually helps add to the tension... Of course, that's only from the section of gameplay we
