If the anal area becomes reddened or a wound is
seen around the anus, it may be a problem with the anal sacs.
You may also
see them around his anus or on his dog bed.

anus to prevent recurrence with instructions to give stool softeners for a week or so.
Finally, perianal tumors (lumps on and
around the
anus) are more commonly
seen with intact males.
Beyond diarrhea you might
see swelling
around the
anus.
Of course, you and your veterinarian many also
see your rabbit scratching or biting at the infected areas, and also possibly
see small white worms
around the
anus or in the feces.
Sometimes owners will notice tapeworm segments on fur
around the
anus, or even
see long stringy worms in the stool.
