G - Land Surf Camp 23rd August 2012 After a couple of small days the swell pulsed some today, the morning hi
tide showed waves to be in the head high plus range and the odd double overhead coming through
at Kongs and some nice ones hitting The Ledge and Moneytrees.Some very long rides were had by the new crew of surfers that arrived this morning.Still a good mellow vibe in the water and plenty of waves for all.The afternoon
low tide session was again in good condition and a good days surfing was had by all and everyone anticipating a further rise in swell.Was also nice to
see a visiting crew of Balinese surfers from Uluwatu enjoying the fruits of G - Land and all surfing
at a very high level.
Hit the coastline for some beach driving (best suited to within three hours either side of
low tide) to oggle
at the coloured sands along the Great Sandy National Park or take the rainforest circuit from the Freshwater Track travelling to Rainbow Beach and Tin Can Bay; do some kayaking and fishing
at Lake Cooroibah, take a picnic down to «The Frying Pan» (
at the left - hand side of the Noosa River mouth) and splash about in the shallow water or check out the lighthouse
at Double Island Point and
see if you can spot any dolphins.
At low tide take a walk along the beach between Wye River and Separation Creek to
see some incredible rock formations created from ancient volcanic activity and find a private sandy beach to have all to yourself.

What can be
seen is the aerial view of a southern English fenland

Of course, if something unlikely like possible slippage happened to the Greenland or West Antarctic ice sheets, we'd be lucky to
see the ground floors of our buildings
