In my opinion I've always seen Giroud play better when he's used as an impact sub, and maybe that's exactly what he needs to get going.

The second goal, on top of the pace needed to get into position, required a delicate first touch, good control and the finesse to glide it past the keeper — something we have not seen Giroud done very often... if at all.
