Sure, they may have popped up
in the odd

It seems a
given that audiences will leave this
film shaken because, frankly, we all
see somebody we know and love
in Riva's wilting face, and it's hard to not be stirred by the resemblance.
That said, the performances, particularly the two leads and an engaging young Hispanic girl, are among the most captivating
in recent memory,
giving the
film a charm and humanity that make it well worth
seeing.
I really miss John Barry, after his departure from Bond we had to make do with some adequate scores over several years even from David Arnold, then along came a new Bond
in the form of Mr Craig and wow DA really found the formula for Bond and composed two truly magnificent scores if only he could have done Skyfall, that said lets
give Thomas Newman a chance
see the
film with the score then listen to the score as stand alone then we can judge, one thing, I really wish just once they could use John Barry's brilliant 007 theme
in a sequence just for old times sake and as a tribute to the man that
gave Bond so much.
Backed by Vice and Megan Ellison, The Bad Batch
sees Amirpour
given a big box of crayons with which to scrawl all over the proverbial walls, resulting
in a
film that's long on style, and short on substance.

gives breath to a possible Kristen Stewart nomination and Jessica Chastain's wobbly Best Actress possibilities could be paving a way for a possible déjà vu

The
film also has an extra layer of fun guesswork built
in because its characters are constantly explaining how magic tricks and misdirection work, so it's essentially
giving you the answers while daring you to figure it out («The closer you look, the less you
see») before the movie's over.
I admit my outrage with the
film grew
in direct proportion to the accolades it got, so when I
saw her get the award, I just had had enough (correction: that was when the Academy snubbed 86 - year - old Emmanuelle Riva to
give the Oscar to Jennifer Lawrence, but that's a whole other story).
Seeing as this is one of the only major elements of the
film given to Adam Pally, his character feels like he is almost only
in the
film for this one joke.
As such, like another second - tier Marvel title before it, Guardians of the Galaxy, that allows for some deviation from the core Avengers
films in terms of how things will look and sound,
giving us a movie that feels organically different
in visual design than most we've
seen before, even if it still retains the same formula structure of the rest of the MCU features.
