It is
in fact a prequel set just before the events with kurt russell, now having
seen the 1982
version about 10x i kinda know whats gona happen for the most part
in this
film, now that does nt mean there wasnt alot to enjoy,
seeing cool new
versions of the thing (which are very well done), and still being
in suspense on who is infected and who isn't.
It also has some footage you haven't
seen before, a digitally - altered
version of a shot from the
film (above, with extra details added to the painting) and a little bit of the awesome Can song «Vitamin C» that is used to good effect

in the original
version of John Hillcoat's «The Wettest County,» which died and then came back to life this year).
Having Hulk
in the
film and
in Asgard really isn't out of place, because of his connections to the original Defenders team (not the Netflix
version)
saw him on a few occasions
in Asgard and the other nine realms.
If you have a chance to
see the
film in 3D, I would suggest you checking it out rather than this 2D
version.

The Criterion release of «The New World» is phenomenal, including all three
versions of the
film (I too
saw both
versions in 2006 and only watched the director's cut this time) on separate discs, allowing for absolutely pristine transfers of each of them.

The play has
seen several adaptations
in the past including a Alf Sjöberg - helmed 1951 Swedish - language
version, a 1987 television adaptation starring Janet McTeer and a 1999
film by Mike Figgis starring Saffron Burrows and Peter Mullan.
It could mean that we might
see a badass
version of Laurie Strode
in the
film, But we just hope it's not Halloween: H20 all over again.
