I am dismayed, however, to
see that, repeatedly, reporters are
using an extremely incorrect and outdated term to refer to the
midwives about whom they write.

using hypnobirthing, another 40 %
using the Bradley method, and the rest
using other methods including Lamaze, meditative calm birthing, Birthing from Within, and more.
I personally
use it as a tea throughout pregnancy, even in the first trimester, as I've never
seen any conclusive reason not to and the health benefits are wonderful during pregnancy, but I'd definitely consult a
midwife or doctor before taking any herb while pregnant.
And that's one of the things that I think, a point that needs belaboring with more people is that a lot what we
see, I mean, a huge proponent of going back to basics in terms of childbirth, moving more towards with low risk or no risk pregnancies, more home birth and more
midwives and things like that, going back to the way things
used to be done before a lot of interventions.
