If you have been
on a
keto diet for a few weeks strictly without cheating and
seeing the scale number going down steadily every day and then one day it suddenly stops for a few days or even goes up a bit, you're wondering what you are doing wrong.
There hasn't been much research
on the ketogenic
diet's effect
on brain fog in healthy people, but the first thing most notice after they cut carbs (even in the first day) is clearer thinking and a better attention span (that is, until they come down with the «
keto flu» —
see below — which is very temporary).
So I set out
on my
keto diet challenge to
see if a 50 something year old woman with thyroid disease could lose weight
on the ketogenic
diet.

see my review here) and feel (understandably) inspired to immediately embark
on a ketogenic
diet, I would caution anyone with a serious chronic health problem, especially anyone who is taking prescription medications, not to attempt a ketogenic
diet on his / her own without medical supervision.
I started this challenge
on April 1st to
see if the
keto diet would be an effective weight loss tool for a 50 - something year old woman with a history of hypothyroidism.

When I started this
keto diet challenge journey
on April 1st, I thought that I'd try it for a month and
see how it goes.
It's clear to
see why nuts make great snacks for those
on a
keto diet.
But if you are
on medications which are having multiple negative side effects or
on multiple medications then you might want to try a medically supervised
keto diet to
see if you can reduce or eliminate any of the offending medications.
After doing much research
on a
Keto diet, I decided to embrace it and
see what impact it would have.
Along with the healthy fats you eat, the longer you're
on a
keto diet, the more your body can begin to dig into the fat you've had stored within your body and you will eventually start to
see it melt away.
