So, these stories of bids and rejections and improved bids are unlikely to be true — it is more than likely a club has to
register an interest in a player they want to buy, and wait to

register a complaint with the Real Estate Council of Ontario (RECO), which could request to
see those supposedly competing offers, offering protection from the dreaded «phantom offer» situation.
