For the last 10 years in this country we've regularly
seen standardized tests results that can't be believed.
Not exact matches
When we examine the
results of
standardized test scores we typically think we are
seeing evidence of what students know.
The two programs were
seen by many conservatives as executive overreach, and when ESEA was reauthorized in 2015 as the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), NCLB
standardized testing requirements were kept, but the evaluation and accountability systems meant to respond to the
results of those
tests became the responsibility of individual states.
This partially reflects the fact that most states had accepted the ideas that schools should be held responsible for student performance and that
results from
standardized tests should play a large role in determining consequences (to view the consequences for schools failing to make adequate yearly progress,
see Figure 2).

Well, the state Department of Education is closed at the moment, meaning, among other things, that the
results of last year's statewide
standardized tests are still embargoed from the public, but Mahmoud has
seen his pupils»
