I really couldn't suggest the all wheel drive model unless you are living in a place that regularly

The Greenland
ice sheet receives on average about 3 feet of
snow per year,
and most of it never
sees any melting.

and antarctic
ice cores, we
see similar bands, because the
snow in Greenland all comes from the stratosphere, not the Arctic Ocean.
Human influence has been detected in warming of the atmosphere
and the ocean, in changes in the global water cycle, in reductions in
snow and ice, in global mean sea level rise,
and in changes in some climate extremes (
see Figure SPM.6
and Table SPM.1).
Since the level of Arctic sea
ice set a new record low in 2007, significantly above - normal winter
snow cover has been
seen in large parts of the northern United States, northwestern
and central Europe,
and northern
and central China.
Raising the
snow line will also begin by removing the equitorial
ice caps (Kilimanjaroo)
and the sea
ice, which is what we are
seeing.
What I
see out my window, the 4.5 acre 12 foot deep lake is now
ice covered; not ready for
ice fishing nor pond hockey, that won't be for another month for the
ice to be thick enough to be safe, nevertheless

So the ~ 3 % of total Planetary water that is «fresh» will
see the alterations that there could be ~ 2 % as LIQUID
and ~ 1 % as «trapped» (including remaining
Snow and Ice).
At the same time that record heat is occurring in the polar regions
and elsewhere,
snow is forecasted (scheduled) to fall as far south as Chihuahua, Mexico (2017 also
saw record low
ice at BOTH poles).
