The Gear Sport is really made for those that are looking for a fitness tracker that can also give them some useful notifications, unlike those from Fitbit which basically only alert you to calls, texts and
a select few other apps (like Twitter).

other apps as well, but I liked the collaborative approach taken here, which is more than just dumping a
few select videos in a separate
app.

Select for getting
apps, as well as the PlayStation
app, a Walkman
app for playing music, an FM radio (which uses your headphone cable as an antenna), and a
few other mostly forgettable
apps.
It works the same way: the phone limits usage to a
few selected apps, turns off mobile data and
other connectivity features when the screen turns off, and basically stops all background processes.
You can customize it, but the basic functions are adding hot contacts, reading notifications, opening
select apps, and a
few other things.
