But even if
you select Race mode, the S is still bearable.
Compared with activating launch control, initiating this process is considerably less simple: First,
select Race mode, then switch the transmission to manual shifting mode.
Just like the P1, the Senna lowers when
you select Race mode — the front by 1.2 inches, the rear by 0.9 inch, the slight rake enhancing aero too.
I'm hesitant to
select race mode in these wet conditions.
The village recedes in the rearview mirror,
you select Race mode, flick the left - hand paddle down twice, and lay rubber.

Race mode beyond the usual Dynamic
Select settings.
However, it will shift up automatically even when manual changes are
selected in Sport
mode (you need
Race for total control over the electronics), while downshifts can be a little jerky.
You'll also want to
select Dynamic or
Race mode on the Pro-DNA system, even if you're using manual
mode, because not only do the throttle's response and the ZF's shifts sharpen up, but the ESP loosens its reins, too (it switches off all together in
Race mode) and the exhaust valves open to increase the volume.
The fastest laps are with
Race mode selected, though there's just a couple of tenths in it — 1:22.5 with versus 1:22.7 without.
The AMG DYNAMIC
SELECT offers four distinct transmission driving
modes on the C 63 Coupe base model (from economical to sporty or individual) and five for the S model which gets an extra «
Race» setting.
Mercedes» Dynamic
Select toggle on the center console lets the driver switch between a similar suite of driving
modes — Comfort, Sport, Sport +, Individual or
Race — and during the sort of back - road blasting I'm enjoying during a warm California afternoon, Sport + really strikes the best balance.
With PTM on, you've got another five
modes of track - oriented performance
modes to
select: WET, DRY, SPORT 1, SPORT 2 and
RACE.
The AMG GT S Roadster features the AMG Ride Control suspension with adaptive damping adjustment as standard, as well as the AMG Dynamic
Select controller with five driving
modes: «C» (Comfort), «S» (Sport), «S +» (Sport Plus), «
RACE», and «I» (Individual).
There are also new dynamic stability
modes (with «Drive `, «Sport», «

With a suspension derived from the
racing GT - R, the driver however will be able to
select one of the three suspension
modes — comfort, normal, and «R» for
racing.

Race, on the rotary dial that
selects drive
modes.
Mercedes also fits the GT S with the GT C's adaptive damping control, as well as the optional
Race mode in the Dynamic
Select drive settings.
The center button allows the suspension to enter «soft»
mode, even when Dynamic or
Race modes are
selected.
These results can be obtained by
selecting Sport or
Race modes via the R.S. Drive multi-mode management system.
The different driving
modes of the Huracán can be
selected via a driving dynamics selector switch in the steering wheel - from traction - oriented on the road to extreme performance on the
race track, with three setups of the dynamics system: STRADA, SPORT and CORSA.
In the GT S, the AMG RIDE CONTROL damping system is electronically controlled and adjustable on the fly — individually or as part of AMG's Dynamic
Select system, which also tunes the hydraulic variable - ratio steering, throttle mapping, gearbox characteristics and stability and traction control functions across four preset
modes (Comfort through Sport and Sport + to
Race).
When in Sport
mode, gear selection via
racing - inspired paddle shifters (mounted on the steering wheel) automatically puts the transmission into manual
mode, and the driver can
select among all six transmission gear ratios.
Plus, such is the grip and balance of the thing, that changing from Dynamic
mode on the DNA drive
select switch (the N stands for «Natural» and the A for «Advanced Efficiency») to
Race Mode hasn't made it any more of a handful to drive.
RWD tragics should not feel left out, as
selecting «
Race» in the four -
mode AMG Dynamic
Select program of the E 63 S decouples front - wheel drive and allows what AMG calls «drift
mode».
At lower speeds the difference in shift points between the various
modes can be quite marked — with the respective gear
selected spooling up revs from below 2000rpm in Comfort
mode, to above 4000rpm in the extreme
Race mode.
Dynamic
Select is also standard along with the same settings from the Mercedes - AMG GT and C 63 AMG: Comfort, Sport, Sport + and Individual plus a fifth driving
mode named
Race.
But tolerate you must if you want to find out how much handling amusement the E 63 S can ultimately give you, because only with extra-firm
Race mode engaged, the car's ESP disengaged and its manual transmission
mode selected, can you activate the car's Drift
mode — and to finally discover what 627 lb ft driving through the rear wheels actually feels like.
The driver controls the attitude of the C63 S and its AMG heart with a Dynamic
Select wheel on the center console which toggles between Comfort, Sport, Sport + and
Race modes.
Furthermore, adoption of the Integrated Dynamic System, with four driving
modes from which the drive can
select the most appropriate set of vehicle characteristics depending on the driving environment, makes the all - new NSX a supercar that can be enjoyed in a broader range of environments, from everyday driving to sporty driving at a
racing circuit.
- The AMG Ride Control adaptive suspension is also shared, as well as the Dynamic
Select program, while the C 63 S lacks the Eco
mode, but gains the
Race one.
The fifth DYNAMIC
SELECT driving
mode «
Race» is included with the AMG DYNAMIC PLUS package and the AMG RIDE CONTROL sport suspension: this makes the Mercedes - AMG A 45 ideally suited to fast laps on the racetrack.
Selecting levels via a map screen reminiscent of Super Mario World was cool, and the game does advertise multiple gameplay
modes that involve sidescrolling space shooting, but the 2D platforming was dull and the betting cash at the end of each level on a
race you can't control was dumb.
After
selecting said
mode and choosing which track they'd like to
race on, users can go into the advanced settings and alter the environment in which they will drive.

mode that takes advantage of the riding system - up to 4 players can
race via local wireless or the internet -

race as the grim reaper himself, which gives an alternate ending that is worth watching.
Create match allows the player to host their own
race events privately through invitation only or publicly, while quick match
mode attempts to find a populated online lobby as quickly as possible before voting on a preferred track, weather and
mode,
selecting and customising your preferred car and livery within the shortlisted vehicles available for each
race from the cars and liveries you have unlocked via single player progression.

Both online
modes provide players with a selection from 11 skins, 9 riders and 9 hydro jets with later riders and hydro jets having to be unlocked in career
mode as well as a continuous run of consecutive
races including a points system resulting in a tournament for as long as players want to participate; accompanied by a fluent method of track selection in which three tracks are randomly
selected for players to vote for their preferred track, although if no players vote or if the tracks receive the same number of votes, then one of those tracks will be
selected at random.
When you
select the Grand Prix
mode; you can choose the MX category you prefer between MX1 and MX2, were you can choose from any of the official riders from your preferred MX category or alternatively
select your custom rider, while you can also
select a particular 2 - stroke or 4 - stroke bike and team of your preference or your custom bike and custom team, alongside any of the 18 tracks in addition to adjusting the weather conditions,
race length from 3 to 20 laps, A.I. difficulty, physics, riding assists and the choice of rewinds to your ideal preferences.

Another new addition to F1 2017 is championship
mode, which see's players set out on a
select few different
races that have a strict set of rules and times that need to be completed.
There are 10 tracks available for
race and elimination
modes, while a further five tracks are available in free - for - all
mode or alternatively
selecting a random track and 15 arena environments in battle
mode.
After the three practice sessions leading up to the qualifying before the first
race of the season; your personal manager will inform you of your new rival which for the start of the opening season in career
mode will be the team - mate you
selected to be retained within the team you chose to drive for.
In F1 2016's Career
Mode, you'll
select your character, helmet,
race number, team and team - mate before heading on to the track - it seems like a single - player
mode that's as interested in the player's story as it is making the cars look nice.
The customization is great, but once I
