Organized by Dena M. Woodall, associate curator
of prints and drawings, and curatorial assistant Lauren Rosenblum, the exhibition features 20th - century prints from the permanent collection
selected by artists known for their
work in other disciplines — specifically sculpture, photography, painting,
installation, and dance.
Major moments for Breitz in 2017 included the Venice Biennale, for which she was one
of two artists
selected to represent South Africa (alongside Mohau Modisakeng); the inclusion
of a new commission titled I'm Your Man (A Portrait
of Leonard Cohen) in an exhibition titled Leonard Cohen: A Crack in Everything at the Musée d'art contemporain de Montréal; and the premiere
of a major new video
work, TLDR (this 13 - channel video
installation is the sequel to Love Story), at the B3 Biennial
of the Moving Image in Frankfurt.
Pairs
of artists were
selected to exhibit
work in the gallery and to undertake temporary
installations on the grounds.

These new
works were carefully
selected from a series
of photographs taken
of Albuquerque's 2006 Land Art
installation on Antarctica's Ross Ice Shelf.
The show features more than twenty video and film
installations, photographs and other
selected work of Steve McQueen.
The
selected works range from the pioneering geometric abstraction
of Rafael Soriano, Mario Carreño and José Mijares executed in Cuba in the 1950s, the concrete art
of Carmen Herrera and constructive experiments
of Zilia Sánchez produced in the diaspora, to the hard - edge abstraction
of Fernando García from the 1980s and the more recent multi-dimensional
installations by Cuban - Americans María Martínez - Cañas, Leyden Rodríguez Casanova, and Vanessa Díaz, to name only a few.
In addition to the presentation
of the two paintings and
selected ephemera, the exhibition also includes an
installation by the Brooklyn - based artist Clifford Borress, whose
work explores interpretation as an art form — a departure from Mousavi's paintings and artist statement.

installation and performance, the Another Antipodes Exhibition: Urban Axis showcased over 80

of talks, masterclasses, screenings, and music events.
Installation Art has been important in determining the spaces
selected for museums
of contemporary art in order to be able to hold the large
works which are composed
of vast collages
of manufactured and found objects.
Silas Marder
selected the pair
of artists — who had never met before — to see what would happen when artists with radically - different
working styles created a single
installation.
For the occasion, Nauman has accurately
selected works not previously seen in France, along with earlier
installations composed
of a broad assortment
of media and means
of expression, an approach that has always marked Nauman's
work.
The
work selected for this show present the various viewpoints from mugshots
of the artists» family members in Tyanna Buie's large
works on paper, to the artist - as - collaborator and documentarian
of addressing the struggles
of family members neighbors and victims in the black and white photography by Carlos Javier Ortiz and the video
installation and archive by Tirtza Even.
Advanced Master Remix features
work selected from the solo thesis exhibitions
of the 2015 graduates
of ICP - Bard's MFA in Advanced Photographic Studies, as well as recent
work, and new, site - specific
installations.
Other notable
works in the exhibition are Swamp (1971, in collaboration with Robert Smithson), Locating # 2 (1972), Boomerang (1973, in collaboration with Richard Serra), Points
of View (1974), a four - monitor
installation and Revolve (1977), alongside materials from early moments
of Holt's career that have been
selected from the artist's archive, which has only now become available for exhibition and study.
The curators
of the Chicago exhibit were extremely thoughtful in
selecting works by a diverse roster
of artists, taking great care to make sure the content
of the
installation was fully inclusive.
Previously shown in Past Time:
Selected Work 1973 - 1995, this compelling
installation was presented by the gallery in collaboration with Piper in 2010 at the former Dia Center for the Arts, and was subsequently awarded the Artist Award for Distinguished Body
of Work by the College Art Association.
Each
installation will feature three
of the
selected artists, to allow for the
works to expand in the space, while still in dialogue with the larger group
of works.
For the Center for Curatorial Studies, the exhibition will be completely reconfigured to include new
works by the
selected artists, a survey
of contemporary independent cultural and art publications, specially commissioned performances, new outdoor
installations, and public discussions.
The show will partially recreate the setting
of the pavilion through
selected works from the Peggy Guggenheim Collection and other prestigious loans, as well as documents, photographs, letters, and a three - dimensional model
of the pavilion
installation, whose layout was designed by celebrated Venetian architect Carlo Scarpa.

installation, Group Coordination (Red), 2011, lends its title to an exhibition
of works selected from the IMMA Collection and which includes three recent pieces on loan from the artist's studio.
For this collateral event
of the 56th Venice Biennale has been
selected works from a decade
of the artist's war paintings, a significant departure from the LED
installations for which Holzer is best known.
In addition to
selected works by four artists and related archival materials, this presentation at e-flux will include re-creations
of historical
installations by Kwok as well as guided tours
of downtown by New York - based artists, writers, and curators.
Under the title «Neptune Society, San Francisco Columbarium, 4th Fl., Dome Room, South Wall, Tier 4» we are presenting an
installation with new
works by Dahn Vo, a new text by Julie Ault and photographs by Heinz Peter Knes, as well
