Although SNK is mainly known for their in depth fighting games, that is not all they have done and this is proved by the

As I've begun
working on a
new series
of watercolour painting projects from Joe Francis Dowden's book Ready To Paint: Venice in Watercolour, I thought it would be pertinent to share a

of Venice that I took during my trip there in October 2012...

on Paper,» a visual feature curated by
New York - based artist Mathew Cerletty in the Art & Sex Edition — a
selection of works on paper that «playfully reflect some
of the many complications
of human sexuality: fantasy, twisted obsession, unbridled lust, sweet vulnerability, and
of course the simple beauty
of a physical connection.»
A year after the Whitney Museum's show, a
new survey
of James Lee Byars (1932 — 1997)
on view at Perry Rubenstein, Mary Boone and Michael Werner galleries includes a careful
selection of sculptures,
works on paper, large - scale installations and a performance.
Instead, the careful
selection of artists and
works included in the exhibition encourage the visitor to reconsider the unique properties
of the medium - primarily its ephemerality, and the ease with which it can be transformed into a variety
of different objects - and, in doing so, Paper sheds a
new light
on this medium as both a raw material and a vehicle for artistic expression.
