Gears 1 and 2 were categorized as «List A» in the country, which doesn't make them
illegal to
sell, but retailers would've had to keep
copies out of sight and all advertising would've been forbidden.
I kind of feel like a jerk for asking this, but what is to stop someone from making a
copy of the indie game themselves from the USB and
selling (
illegal)
copies themselves?
Selling the music or
copying it in the USA would be
illegal, but each of these websites claims it is
illegal anyway.
Typically, they'll download an
illegal copy of some software for free, find a «crack» app that can activate the software with a fake license, and then stick both of them on a burned CD or a simple USB drive to
sell to suckers online.
