Our player of the season so far?Certainly the most consistent.JACK AND OZIL CONTRACTS - just get them signed up for F *** S SAKE.Jack doesn't want to go anywhere and Ozil will have his choice of big clubs to choose from if allowed to be able to go on a free. How about
giving out a statement of our ambitions (yeah right) and show were prepared to pay whatever it takes (up to the
point of being ridiculous) to SIGN the best and KEEP the best» These two are the best we have so get them sorted early to send out a message of how serious we intend to be.AUBAMEYANG - So what if he has a contract. So did Sanchez.Offer the right money to Dortmund and the player and he will be ours. What is there to question over this deal?He is a proven goalscorer. We have just lost one.Get the deal done.GIROUD - Get rid of him to Dortmund if they want him either by
selling or if it sweetens the deal just loan him till the end of the season. He was a back up when Sanchez was here and will be on the mix of back ups if Auba signs. He has a World Cup squad to fight for just to be considered so needs to be playing every week.We do not need him if Auba signs and would demand better than him if the deal fails to happen.Just get rid.JONNY EVANS - I'm not sure.Agree Kos needs nursing through games and we do not have consistent performers to come in if he is injured or rested mainly due to both Chambers and Holdimg not progressing through as much as we first thought and hoped for.Gooners have always been patient and supportive of the youngsters as they have come through but question marks to the whole coaching staff as to why these two seem to have stalled as much as they have done.Steve Bould - What do you do?You should be ashamed.
Am the happiest fan since AFC
sold the brainless chamberlain... Kolasinac has a
point to prove in arsenal so please AW should
give him all d chance he needs... Am glad bellarin is back on the Right wing back..
They have a shelf life of 8/10 years at the very top if they are lucky so who can begrudge them the opportunity to make hay whilst the sun is shining... am not saying Sanchez is not money driven but the way the guy plays i can mortgage my life he actually enjoys the game, enjoys wining first and foremost then money comes 2nd... like the author of the article rightly
pointed out, he was in Messi's shadow at Barca and could not express himself fully, now he is at a club where he is the main man and
given a free role and license to express himself and i very much doubt if he will want to go to a club like Madrid (as been rumoured in the dailies today) to relieve the bad experience he suffered at Barca because let us face facts, he is never going to displace CR7 as the main man, so even if Madrid
sells Benzema or Bale to make room for him he will be back to the same position he was at Barca, this time he will be playing 2nd fiddle to CR7 so my guess is all the Madrid talks is been fed the press by his agents to drive a hard bargain when contract extension talks resumes.....
This is an incredibly difficult question to answer for a variety of reasons, most importantly because over the years our once vaunted «beautiful» style of play has become a shadow of it's former self, only to be replaced by a less than stellar «plug and play» mentality where players play out of position and adjustments / substitutions are rarely forthcoming before the 75th minute... if you look at our current players, very few would make sense in the traditional Wengerian system... at present, we don't have the personnel to move the ball quickly from deep - lying position, efficient one touch midfielders that can make the necessary through balls or the disciplined and pacey forwards to stretch defences into wide positions, without the aid of the backs coming up into the final 3rd, so that we can attack the defensive lanes in the same clinical fashion we did years ago... on this current squad, we have only 1 central defender on staf, Mustafi, who seems to have any prowess in the offensive zone or who can even pass two zones through so that we can advance play quickly out of our own end (I have seen some inklings that suggest Holding might have some offensive qualities but too early to tell)... unfortunately Mustafi has a tendency to get himself in trouble when he gets overly aggressive on the ball... from our backs out wide, we've seen pace from the likes of Bellerin and Gibbs and the spirited albeit offensively stunted play of Monreal, but none of these players possess the skill - set required in the offensive zone for the new Wenger scheme which requires deft touches, timely runs to the baseline and consistent crossing, especially when Giroud was playing and his ratio of scored goals per clear chances was relatively low (better last year though)... obviously I like Bellerin's future prospects, as you can't teach pace, but I do worry that he regressed last season, which was obvious to Wenger because there was no way he would have used Ox as the right side wing - back so often knowing that Barcelona could come calling in the off - season, if he thought otherwise... as for our midfielders, not a single one, minus the more confident Xhaka I watched played for the Swiss national team a couple years ago, who truly makes sense under the traditional Wenger model... Ramsey holds onto the ball too long,
gives the ball away cheaply far too often and abandons his defensive responsibilities on a regular basis (doesn't score enough recently to justify): that being said, I've always thought he does possess a little something special, unfortunately he thinks so too... Xhaka is a little too slow to ever boss the midfield and he tends to telegraph his one true strength, his long ball play: although I must admit he did get a bit better during some
points in the latter part of last season... it always made me wonder why whenever he played with Coq Wenger always seemed to play Francis in a more advanced role on the pitch... as for Coq, he is way too reckless at the wrong times and has exhibited little offensive prowess yet finds himself in and around the box far too often... let's face it Wenger was ready to throw him in the trash heap when injuries forced him to use Francis and then he had the nerve to act like this was all part of a bigger Wenger constructed plan... he like Ramsey, Xhaka and Elneny don't offer the skills necessary to satisfy the quick transitory nature of our old offensive scheme or the stout defensive mindset needed to protect the defensive zone so that our offensive players can remain aggressive in the final third... on the front end, we have Ozil, a player of immense skill but stunted by his physical demeanor that tends to offend, the fact that he's been played out of position far too many times since arriving and that the players in front of him, minus Sanchez, make little to no sense considering what he has to offer (especially Giroud); just think about the quick counter-attack offence in Real or the space and protection he receives in the German National team's midfield, where teams couldn't afford to focus too heavily on one individual... this player was a passing «specialist» long before he arrived in North London, so only an arrogant or ignorant individual would try to reinvent the wheel and / or not surround such a talent with the necessary components... in regards to Ox, Walcott and Welbeck, although they all possess serious talents I see them in large part as headless chickens who are on the injury table too much, lack the necessary first - touch and / or lack the finishing flair to warrant their inclusion in a regular starting eleven; I would say that, of the 3, Ox showed the most upside once we went to a back 3, but even he became a bit too consumed by his pending contract talks before the season ended and that concerned me a bit... if I had to choose one of those 3 players to stay on it would be Ox due to his potential as a plausible alternative to Bellerin in that wing - back position should we continue to use that formation... in Sanchez, we get one of the most committed skill players we've seen on this squad for some years but that could all change soon, if it hasn't already of course... strangely enough, even he doesn't make sense
given the constructs of the original Wenger offensive model because he holds onto the ball too long and he will
give the ball up a little too often in the offensive zone... a fact that is largely forgotten due to his infectious energy and the fact that the numbers he has achieved seem to justify the means... finally, and in many ways most crucially, Giroud, there is nothing about this team or the offensive system that Wenger has traditionally employed that would even suggest such a player would make sense as a starter... too slow, too inefficient and way too easily dispossessed... once again, I think he has some special skills and, at times, has showed some world - class qualities but he's lack of mobility is an albatross around the necks of our offence... so when you ask who would be our best starting 11, I don't have a clue because of the 5 or 6 players that truly deserve a place in this side, 1 just arrived, 3 aren't under contract beyond 2018 and the other was just
sold to Juve... man, this is theraputic because following this team is like an addiction to heroin without the benefits
Finally, and to reiterate an earlier
point, the way forward for this club is to stop paying below average bench players so much money and to focus the bulk of the weekly wages on establishing a dominant starting 11... this will require the club to eat some wages in order to ship some players out, get rid of any deadwood over the age of 21, develop a cutting edge scouting service and put your money where your mouth is for once... I would much rather have a starting 11 that was world - class and
give some reasonably paid young blue - chippers playing time when injuries occur than have 2 or 3 world class players surrounded by a plethora of overpaid and underwhelming players... management would no longer be able to
sell their half - baked plans to the fans under the guise of «winning now», which any intelligent fan knows is a crap - shoot at best, and instead create a a squad that provides hope for the present and the future... this is exactly the model that has been used by Barcelona, Real & Bayern, so it should be good enough for us... by the way, until Messi & Ronaldo re-signed just recently all 3 clubs weekly wages were on par with ours... think about that for a second or two
Sanchez is world class but people look down on other players too much. Most of us here didn't even know he was this good until he was
given the chance here. How do you know another player can't replace him and can't do better if
given the opportunity?If I was Wenger I would've
sold him to City long ago last season.I don't care if it would've been a Van Persie situation. All Utd needed was a decent striker to help them win the league but they got lucky and had a world class one.Utd were even favourites to win it prior to that season and if I'm not mistaken City beat them by only 1
point to win it.
I've had enough of this crap, look I honesty do think giroud is a good striker and he is a fairly consistant goal scorer, and every time he played for arsenal he
gave 100 percent and I think we all appreciated the way he was, a true professional, but to say we as fans were too critical of him or that he didn't have enough of a chance at arsenal is just absolute bullshit, first of all he has scored more headed goals than any other player in the prem since he arrived in 2012 so we did play to his strengths and he was our main striker for four long years and every pundit on sky and motd has at one
point said Giroud is not enough for arsenal to win the title ect, but, now we have
sold him he is apparently the best thing since sliced bread and the best buy of the transfer window blah blah fuc * # * g blah.
he was piss poor did nt hold his position and we could all see how exposed bellerin was when he came on... my
point is i will rather if he refuse to sign d contract
giving to him by arsenal we should get rid and pls before ppl start saying
sell him to title rivals and you will see him tear us apart crap ask yourself this question.
OK so my view is this team is not good enough because they have not learned from all the seasons gones by continue to make the same mistakes every year the manager has not address the weakness of the team either look at the goal keeper issue one should have come in already why wait what there to think about almunia is not good enough why try him again
sell but no
give him next season to cost us 10
points i hope am wrong but If arsenal win the league with this team i will eat my hat..............
He is still young and more or less not going to have a problem playing every week at his present club, The new owner who is a Russian with plenty of money to spend on players has no need to
sell and will spend the same sort of money we will and at moment the way Ithey are playing and the way we are they would have no trouble turning us over, We need to go back to grass roots which is what the majority want produce local talent and actually
give them a chance in the first team, Play entertaining football all the time not respect the
point (they will come if you play well) There is talent all over the world we need to find it, Howe is showing the way and in years to come may be a great England Manager but not for us right now and if I was him I would stay put
@ larryking listen jock wenger could never coach anyother club because no big club would go six season without a trophy there is no way wenger could go to madrid and go two season without a trophy no way in hell he would be fired in no time bmunich fired klinsman less than half season look at the real madrid coach grave yard pelligrinie made 95 +
points last season that amount would win the league in almost any country yet he got fired i can go on if fergi goes two seasons without a trophy am sure he gone i love arsenal but football is about winning trophies wenger has hypnotize you i do nt care arsenal have gone five years without a trophy and six witout the league not even a carling cup or fa cup and loosing all our best players all for money all this talk about wenger and his youth policies i can count on both hands all the players that came through arsenal youth system that went on to be world beaters look at the current crop walcott nasri diaby denilson bedtner clichy none of these are world class they have improve minimal @ arsenal compare that to barca their youths pedro and co are world beaters event the great vanpercy who we rate he would never leave arsenal because all that chance wenger
gives him he would» t get at other big clubs this does not make sense we buy young players they take ages to develop most do nt» t then we
sell them or they leave because they want to win things that how you grow pretty soon that top four will become very hard to stay in if we get out of that then what i wish all you wenger fans luck am all out of patients with him last chance this year................
