The June 24 vote came down to four Republican

support gun safety
measures.
Senate Democrats and the former IDC members all
support those
measures, but
Senator Stewart - Cousins says it is not likely that they will be approved this year.
The other Republican
senators who
supported the
measure — Mark Grisanti of Buffalo, Steve Saland of Poughkeepsie and Jim Alesi of Rochester — benefitted from similar fundraising boosts.
