In 2014, the Shelter Pet Project, an Ad Council
public service advertising campaign promoting pet adoption and funded by Maddie's Fund ® and the Humane Society of the United States, conducted a research survey of 1,402 people to understand how to increase the number of pets acquired from animal shelters and rescue organizations.
Thanks in part to The Shelter Pet Project, a national public
service advertising campaign promoting shelter pet adoption (sponsored by the Ad Council, Maddie's Fund and The Humane Society of the United States), shelter pets now have cachet and shelters are becoming the «politically correct» and preferred place to acquire a pet.
Make no mistake, creating, promoting, and maintaining a personal brand identity is as much a part of marketing as any product or
service advertising campaign.
