set / rep schemes, rest periods and

training methods or finish your workout with some battle ropes, either way, you're in
for a workout that's gonna finish you before you finish it.
Taking
sets to failure provides a stimulus
for your muscles to grow — but don't do it every
time you
train.
If you're bodyweight
training you can do a «warm up»
set of the same moves you're planning to do
for your workout at a lower intensity, or if you're short on
time, do the first few moves of your workout at a lower intensity or with modifications, then go full out when you're warmer.
There is a smart and simple way to split your workout, as long as you include many
sets and reps
for each muscle group,
train large muscle group at every session and give your body enough
time to rest and recover.
Train the abs 2 - 3
times per week with performing 4
sets in total
for the upper and lower ab exercises and 1
set for obliques.
When it comes
time for your workout, if you are doing heavy strength
training (with barbells or dumbbells), make sure you do some warm up
sets before jumping into the weight you'll be
training with
for EACH EXERCISE.
It didn't matter if we really
trained hard, if we used proper form, if we did too many
sets and reps.. We could
train every day
for hours at a
time, doing endless exercises and
sets for just one muscle group (50
sets just
for the biceps!)
The study's control group who only performed moderate intensity (65 - 80 % VO2 Max) cardio

times a week lost 71.8 % more weight during their 4 month long study than the group who only performed 3
times a week of resistance
training that consisted of 3

setting but there can not be a one size fits all program
for everyone all the
time!
