exhibition explores some of the ways sculptural materials and forms are changing as artists respond to the mediated and virtual realities of the world
in which we live and
work.

exhibition will

works on canvas and will be presented at the gallery's monumental project space
in the Railyard District across from SITE Santa Fe.

The show, which also serves as Gallery 38's inaugural

works by the artist, reconfiguring the acclaimed
exhibition The Sky that the Rabbits Saw, first shown
in June this year at the Kyoto City University of Arts Art Gallery @KCUA, with
several new
works being exhibited here for the first time.

The solo
exhibition will
feature work from
several of Hanzlová's photographic projects, including Rokytnik and Forest, taken
in the Czech village and surrounding forest where the artist grew up; Cotton Rose, taken
in Gifu, Japan; as well as the artist's three most recent series, Horses, Flowers and There Is Something I Don't Know.
Goode has
worked in Los Angeles since the 1960s; his latest
exhibition, «Old Ideas with New Solutions,»
features recent paintings from
several series he has been
working on over the past half - century.
This
exhibition —
featuring paintings, drawings, sculpture and photographs by
several of the artists
in James's circle, as well as a selection of his own manuscripts and letters — elucidates the connections between one of the supreme novelists of his age and the artists and
works of art that nourished and inspired his fiction.
The
works also exemplify how Still influenced the
work of younger artists, including
several who are
featured in the DAM
exhibition.
