Regarding your fabulous sold out skirt — Perhaps a couple of metres of stripe grosgrain ribbon
sewn along the side seams of an existing leopard skirt would do the job?

Then I
sewed the lining to the kimono with right
sides together
along the bottom hemline and
along the center front
seams with a 1/2 ″
seam allowance.
Next, line up the bandannas right
sides together and
sew along the edge using a 1/4 inch
seam allowance.
Fold piece C lengthwise in half and
sew along the long open
side using a 1/2 ″
seam allowance.
Do this by having the right
side edge of the fabric and ruffle facing each other and
sew the
seam along the edge.
Using a 1/4 ″
seam allowance,
sew the pieces together
along the
side seam starting at the top.
Line the ribbon up on the
side to hang and stitch
along, so you
sew them ribbon into the
seam.
