The final issue is just how much oil is left in the Permian and other
shale oil basins that can be produced at wherever oil prices go.

The quest to regain the top producer spot in one of the most - prolific U.S.

Shale in Lancashire and West Lothian
Oil Shale in Scotland, they went through an additional previous episode of deformation about 290m years ago.

By December 2013, a projected 3.84 million barrels of
oil per day were being produced by the four main

oil production).

I am too lazy to search for the source information, but I recall that discovery of a major
shale gas /
oil basin in central CA was announced recently by the USGS.
