shallower Sandbar,
which is 3ft - 4ft deep, and Stingray City,
which lies at 12ft and is often declared the best 12ft
dive in the world.

dive sites in Asia for open water students or those who just like to
dive in easy conditions a see the stuff of the underwater movies... from two
shallow entry points on sandy bottoms the surrounding area is covered in hard coral,, giant table corals, staghorn coral, cabbage coral ans many many many other hard coral species thrive here, around twenty five bommies rise to about 5m
which attract colorful fish galore, you can reach a depth of about 20m, but the best stuff is between 5 and 12m making it a perfect second or third
dive of the day.
Tawali House Reef is an easy
shallow reef
which can be done as a day or night
dive.
Racha Yai has the easiest
shallow diving and is ideal for new divers, but you can also choose a 3
dive trip including Racha Yai and it's neighbour Racha Noi
which has some deeper water around.
There are plenty of other
dive sites round about too — pretty much all the way along Vanua Levu to Savusavu, and a great
shallow reef for snorkelling on the southern tip of Taveuni in Vuna Reef —
which can be seen on the map.

Staghorn Crest - At this
dive site, you will find yourself beginning with a gentle descent along the drop - off, followed by a gradual diagonal descent along the wall, at the
shallow end of
which there is a garden of staghorn corals.
Now you can drink in the sites and bet you will see plenty of amazing marine life on this
shallow wreck
dive which has a maximum of only 6m / 20ft.
At the end of the
dive you come across a
shallow area
which is inhabited by garden eels and is known as a good spot for occasional sightings of barracuda, white - tip reef sharks, turtles and napoleon wrasse.
