When I first started greening my haircare routine, I made my own
shampoo using coconut milk and Dr. Bronner's Castile soap.
Apart from the flea - killing insecticides,
the shampoo uses coconut conditioners to moisturize and soothe itchy, irritated skin and actually smells quite lovely for a flea shampoo.

My son also makes a fabulous

coconut milk, and 1 tsp nut oil (he
uses walnut).

I know this is all about fighting the bulge, but I also
use coconut oil on my hair before
shampooing to help protect my ends.
I make and

coconut milk & Dr.Bronner's liquid castile soap (the proportions change with the seasons, but Spring & Fall are usually 1 pt castile to 2 pts
coconut milk.
However, besides this, there are other ways like
using coconut oil or some baby
shampoo.
The company made its debut with a line of soap - free
shampoos naturally derived from botanicals and
using a mild
coconut cleanser.
Back when I
used shampoo, it would have been a much bigger frizz ball, but now it's more manageable, especially with
coconut oil.
