The spectrum these teams measure during the eclipse won't translate immediately to a measurement of the strength or
shape of the magnetic field.

The International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER), an experimental reactor currently being built in the south
of France, will house the world's largest ever tokamak — a doughnut -
shaped reactor that uses a powerful
magnetic field to confine plasma.
