things as those
living in the Middle East and those you would call doing the work
of the devil: killing those who do not

At 62, I have already
lived most
of my
life and I don't quite care about heaven or Hell but I do care about the people with whom I

of Jesus are definitely part
of what we
share in evangelism, but we tell them these
things to convince and persuade them to believe in Jesus for eternal
life, not because they get eternal
life by believing in the death and resurrection
of Jesus.
The aspect
of life which most stirs my soul is the ability to
share in an undertaking, in a reality, more enduring than myself: it is in this spirit and with this purpose in view that I try to perfect myself and to master
things a little more.

of all
things good in

What is happening here, for the first time in two thousand years, for the first time since the apostle Paul pondered the continuing «mystery»
of Living Judaism, for the first time since the Church condemned Marcion as a heretic in the second century, for the first time since so many
things in our tortuously entangled relationship, is that believing Jews and Christians are encountering one another on a footing
of civil equality in a
shared exploration
of the way through history
of the God
of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Jesus.
What we choose to believe, or not to believe, and how we
live our
lives and treat others we
share the world with is really the most important
thing of all.
Darwinian theory predicts that all genomes are related by descent, that we
share common ancestors and so the genomes
of all
living things were derived from previous
living things that were the common ancestors
of current
living things.
Not sex as mere coupling, but sex as an expression
of joie - de-vivre,

Weirdest freaking
thing to me has been that as you begin to
share life with the homeless and the homosexuals and the bikers and the rest
of the «malcontents» THEY begin to teach YOU what it means to love, support, and care for your brothers.

(Mark 10:23 - 27) Renunciation is the rule for all, (Mark 8:34 - 37; 10:21, 28:31) and the compensations are as simply and absolutely set forth as is the requirement: the good
things of this
life, such as they are, the blessings
of family and
of property, will be
shared by all within the community, «now in this present time: houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal

In a recent crisis my wife and I faced, one
of the
things that initially bothered us was how when we
shared with others that we were going through a crisis, they responded by
sharing a crisis that they were facing or had faced in their own

life (yoga poses, beach time, healthy foods), but the difficult
things as well.
Then, as I began making blog friends, it felt weird that I didn't know any
of them in «real
life» and so we have digital relationships and do
things like

of food we ate alone by ourselves.
