The overall outcome was widely anticipated, and California is not alone — many other states that are implementing the Common Core

standards than their old
standards (Butrymowicz and Felton 2015; Harris 2015).
Districts with both low and high percentages of high - need students were more likely to have smaller changes in the
share of students

standards when comparing the SBAC and the CST (approximately a 50 % lower
share).
