The sheer number of enemies makes that task a lot harder than it sounds, and it was a fun contrast to being the hunter in the earlier half of the mission!
Unfortunately, one of the ways recent Souls products have accomplished this is by simply multiplying

Animations are also impressive as you slash your way through a horde
of enemies or cleanly chainsaw each limb off your adversaries, which is especially important considering how quickly power abilities recharge and the
sheer number of explosives riddled around the world.
As long as you're firing and walking somewhere and not discharging your gun into the scenery, the
sheer number of retro - styled
enemies that are deployed means there's a better than average chance that you'll be packing enough heat to barely even have to worry about your energy levels.
Most
enemies outside
of the bosses don't even do anything interesting or challenging, but their
sheer numbers will eventually wear you out.
