The American SPCA hired Weiss as senior director of
shelter behavior programs in 2005, and on May 5, 2007 the ASPCA made promoting SAFER an ASPCA program.

Shelter Cat Month» and Animal
Behavior College (ABC) is commemorating the occasion by offering a Continuing Education
Program (CEP) on cat management and training.
