New York, NY — Friday, October 8, 2010 — Despite its disappointment with the American Kennel Club's (AKC) decision to forbid adoptable dogs
and puppies from local animal
rescue groups and shelters from being on the premises at this month's «Meet the Breeds» event at the Javit's Center, the Mayor's Alliance for NYC's Animals says it
does not want to discourage New York animal lovers from attending the event
and gaining the benefits of its educational components, particularly with regard to responsible pet ownership.
