The only thing significant to me about this announcement is that it is still coming out this year for the PS3... I don't care about the 360 version at all if it won't have user generated content... that is the main factor that has kept this, and several other, PC
shooters alive over the years... And it is extremely funny that TheMart hasn't really been around much since E3 started... I un-ignored his ass, as well as several other of the usual fanboys, just to see what they would say for all this news... I didn't
know which way the week would go... It just so happened that the way KZ2 and several other announcements worked... it seems some of the MS fanboys have some explaining to do... as apposed to the normal routine of PS3
games not looking good, and Sony fanboys still digging holes for themselves...
Not very much is
know about the
game, it looks like it will be an action
shooter hybrid with plenty of bloody swordplay elements.
The titles, Crysis 3 and Warface are both FPS
shooters built on the in - house CryENGINE 3 platform (in case you didn't
know), however Warface is a free - to - play
game that Crytek is hailing as the future of F2P.
RE5 is hardly scary at all... they lost their way with the way this series went... RE4 and RE5 are just action
shooters now... the survival horror factor is
no longer there... the magic that made RE such a great
game is gone... honestly, the scariest
game by far this gen is the
game that most people have slept on and that is Siren: Blood Curse and coming second would be Deadspace IMO.

Wow, I wasn't really expecting to see such polarization amongst PlayStation users for this title, but not everyone loves online
shooters (can't stand them on consoles) or
games that are too Japanese - based (aka the titles I love) so it makes sense for this
game to have that effect (although I honestly don't
know how controls can «feel French», lol maybe I missed the «press baguette button» in the last two
games =p).
There's no question that UE3 handles things like
shooters fantastically, but it just doesn't do fast paced action
games very well with its
known texture loading and frame - rate issues.

know everybody else loved it, but it was the first Gears of War
game which put me off
shooter games for quite a while., so I'm cautious of anything offered from Cliff Bleszinski now.

games were never my thing, its good to
know ya don't have to play it using the guitars... you'd probably limit sales that way as well, since a

game... im happy there are still devs who are thinking outside the box as well as willing to still do side - scrolling 2d work... i'd like to see more adventure 2d side - scrolling
games tho... like Magician Lord was to the NEO-GEO or the Ghosts N Goblins series or Wizards & Warriors... those were fun

Sure
games like Halo and COD are awesome but they take the more realistic approach to the FPS genre (yes I
know you are killing space aliens and the like in Halo but you get the idea) so the more classic type of
shooter where you just kill everything in sight with no mission objectives etc has kind of faded out, well that's what I thought untill I played Bulletstorm.
There are entire armies worth of sci - fi
shooter games staring power armored space marines every year (KillzoneConduitGearsHazePreyRedFactionFractureTurokDeadSpaceMassEffect, you
know, just to name a few), each possessing their own version of the «We want to be the Covenant» alien race, along with token main protagonists that have the personality of a ton of bricks.
For most video
gamers in the west, both the Touhou franchise and the bullet hell
shooter genre are two things that probably aren't something that isn't very well
known to most, especially the first of that list.
and we all can say what we want about cliff but lets not forget his great work on other
games like Unreal & Gears of War — this man
know how to make
Shooters if we like it or not.

games, Shinji Mikami has taken on the 3rd person
shooter in a way that only he could.
The time powers encourage
gamers to play outside the box when compared to the traditional third - person, cover - based
shooters we've grown to
know and love, but they do begin to wear out their welcome as the
