There are several
shops along the pier but it is also fun to just take pictures and walk, which is what we did.

Which makes its shingle beach and buzzy vibe even more attractive come January, when you can walk for miles
along the blustery seafront (past the controversial new i360 viewing tower and the beautiful Victorian
pier, now with funfair and arcades) or wander the narrow streets of the Lanes, which are jammed with tiny clothing
shops, antiques emporiums, and cafes.
Walk
along State Street or see the rose garden at the Santa Barbara Mansion, and check the «Funk Zone» — a community of cafes, boutique
shops, wine tasting
shops and art galleries — before heading to the
pier.
You will find few restaurants and few bars
along the coastline with only a small village near the
pier with small local
shops and all the government buildings including a school, hospital, police station, and electricity and post offices.
Take an old tram to the suburb of Glenelg to experience South Australia's best beach, a seaside strip featuring excellent
shopping along its idyllic promenade and
pier.
Along the boardwalk were quaint little boutique
shops, selling jewellery, crafts, and clothes, and constructed to fit in perfectly with the design of the
pier.
Fifteen retail
shops, kiosks and carts run
along the east side of the concourse and into the
piers.
