I can vividly remember the high waist shorts plus the jacket tied on the waist with a loose shirt on top combo because it's like the uniform of the 90s.

Look for long fringe on longer pieces, and short fringe on jackets, dresses, and tops.

I would go for short / cropped puffy jacket, to add some volume on top, and a big knitted scarf wrapped around half my of my head — to make sure my ears survive another day!

Personally I'm not a fan of handkerchief hems like this one, but I did try on and fall in love with the Utility Moto Jacket (now $ 80) which has a very cool button top layer and the Sherpa Moto Jacket (now $ 90) which is too short for everyday wear for me but does look great with high - waisted jeans and a striped shirt underneath.

Opposed to wearing a long - sleeved sweater, I opt for sleeveless or short - sleeved tops with a cardigan or light jacket on top so I can add or subtract.

The suiting strip on the fabric will add charm and in order to not play too long with a brutal look, choose pastel shades and original cut of the top (even if the jacket is short and with catchy buttons).
