by Leonardo Bravo, of Big City Forum, this
group show features work
by five Los Angeles artists — EJ Hill, Mario Ybarra Jr., Ana Llorente, Hazel Mandujano and Juan Capistran — who regularly employ
community engagement as part of their work.
Here's what she said: «Getting started in the commercial gallery world is best facilitated
by engagement with the arts
community; participating in public events, residencies,
group shows, etc. and building relationships with other artists is one of the better ways to get your work seen while making connections to other curators and gallerists.
The current exhibition at the Eric Firestone Gallery, of Easthampton NY, a
group show titled Down
By Law includes a roster of accomplished veterans of this
community.
Its mission is to support local artists and to help promote the arts in the
community by organizing opportunities and events for artists to
show and publicize their work, including
group shows and exhibits throughout the year.

They've written letters to the government demanding that Ottawa stop a swarm of activist
groups backed
by foreign billionaires from hijacking — as the prime minister himself put it — the hearings over the Canadian Northern Gateway pipeline that would carry our oil from Alberta to B.C. Canadians have been calling into radio
shows and writing blogs, and spreading the word in their
communities about the fact that this crucial decision over Canada's national energy policy is being infiltrated
by what are essentially the well - paid lobbyists of wealthy and powerful foreign interests.
In a tiny house
community, you've got a built - in support
group right there — people who are ready to pick you up when you've had a bad day, give you a shoulder to cry on
by the fire, or just binge - watch your favorite
show on Netflix with you.
As
shown by the astounding impact of just one Transition
group, an awful lot can happen when a
community gets together and decides to actively build a better, more resilient future.
The
group went on to say that, following approval
by the volunteer Bitcoin Core team and a

The evidence base for FLNP includes qualitative research
showing that parents recruited through schools value the programme and perceive it to have an impact on family relationships, children's behaviour and their own mental health51; «before and after» studies in
community groups showing impact on self - report measures of relationship quality and well - being52; and routine evaluation
by parents attending programmes
showing that the great majority value the programme.53

In our research, we sought to understand parenting practices within indigenous Wayana
groups through observations and interviews with the aim to
show the peculiarity of this «peripheral» education style, the logic of parenting and the strategies adopted
by this autochthonous
community to transmit the local knowledge and the cultural data linked with its natural environment.
