The gallery will be
showing historic works — the Black Paintings from 1979 - 80 that were originally shown at Sonnabend gallery in 1981.
For the first time, the gallery is
showing the historic works together alongside contemporary work by current members in a dynamic show representing many of Britain's greatest 20th and 21st century artists.
In addition to its continuous exhibition schedule of new work, the gallery continues to develop interest in
showing historic works in relation to contemporary artists.
We will
show a historic work by Banks Violette from 2000, made in advance of the artist's very first solo exhibition.

From the «precursors» who developed Congo's first
works on paper when it was still a Belgian colony to the 1970s «popular painters» who

work by Lee Bul on Thursday, 14 March 2013, in the

We had incredible things in that

historic sound piece from Hannah Wilke using her answering machine.
The Documenta
show in Germany this year included many
