As someone who is somewhat horizontally challenged the constant
shrinking of
airline seats is a matter of considerable concern.
Standardized (and
shrinking)
airline seats have made it difficult for people of all shapes and sizes to fit into an occupied space with set dimensions, because not everybody can fit comfortably.
We know that flying has a big carbon footprint, but when you do have to fly, you may have noticed that air travel isn't as glamourous as it used to be:
shrinking seats, meals not included, extra fees up the wazoo, and even pre-flight fisticuffs due to «overbooking» (like the recent fiasco with United
Airlines).
It is also appealing the FAA's refusal to issue minimum
seat and leg room standards to address
shrinking seat size and leg room by
airlines.
