Ride & Handling On the whole, the Forte offers controlled suspension responses, but bigger bumps can be jolting; the cabin
shudders slightly when you hit particularly large ones.
The structure generally feels quite stiff, and although you are aware of the windscreen surround
shuddering slightly over very rough surfaces there's never any sense of the shell twisting or distorting in hard cornering.
However, large potholes and speed bumps taken quickly will cause the car to
shudder slightly.
On the down side, I noticed that the stiff suspension system causes the car to
shudder slightly when a small bump is hit.
When slowing, just before coming to a stop, the vehicle would jerk or
shudder slightly.
You actually can see the lower portion of the windshield and dash
shudder slightly when you drive down a bumpy dirt road.

You notice it
slightly less with the roof down as the exposure to the elements distracts you from the
shudders, but it really should be better.
The engine would be firing smoothly and then as the needle dropped near idle the engine bay would shake and the needle would surge up
slightly and then fall to idle and things would rapidly settle after about 1 second of
shudder.
There's something
slightly shudder - inducing about the texture, but so far as we can recall that's always been true of these tiny joysticks.
