side, the notification
alert slider makes a welcome return.
The
alert slider, the aforementioned three - stage hardware switch on the OnePlus 5T's right
side, toggles the phone to «Vibrate» when switched to the «up» position; the middle notch toggles the phone to «Do Not Disturb» mode; and the «down» position turns it to «Ring» and restores your previous notification and call volume settings.

side, we can also see an
alert slider, and volume rockers and power button on the left
side of the device.
I also adore the
alert slider built into the
side of the phone, because I always appreciate tactile controls over anything.

side to adjust the notification
alerts.
And also carried over from the OnePlus 2, we have the
Alert slider on the
side that will work to switch between different
alert modes in Android.
At the bottom of the device, you'll find USB Type - C and a 3.5 mm headphone jack, while the left
side has a textured
alert slider and the volume buttons and the right has the power button.
OnePlus even made sure to match the color of the fingerprint sensor to the rest of the phone's rear, while on the left
side, the metallic red
alert slider provides a nice pop of color.
The power button is present on the right
side and the volume rockers along with
alert slider reside on the left
side of the device.
Thankfully, it also still has the 3.5 mm headphone jack on the bottom edge of the device and an
alert slider on the left
side.
On the left
side of the phone, is the volume keys and
alert slider, with the function similar to Iphone mute button.
The left
side has a useful
alert slider to switch between Ring, Silent, and Do Not Disturb modes.
The OnePlus 2 features a volume rocker and lock button on one
side and an
Alert Slider which functions similarly to the iPhone's mute switch on the other
side and allows you to switch between various
alert modes in Android.
On one
side you'll find the lock button and volume rocker, while the other
side features a new
Alert Slider which will allow you to easily switch between three stages of Android's
alert modes.
One of the unique features of OnePlus devices that no one else has yet copied is the
alert slider found on the upper left
side.
If you're not aware, the
alert slider is currently a feature that only OnePlus takes advantage of, providing a hardware switch on the
side of the phone that allows users to change their notification settings quickly and easily.

A power / lock key is included on the right - hand
side of this smartphone, while you will notice volume up and down buttons on the left, where you can find the device's

Using the three position
alert slider located on the
side of the phone, a feature every future Android phone should adopt, users can set exactly what classifies as a priority
alert.
On a more hardware - based note, I absolutely adore the
alert slider on the
side that gives instant access to changing volume profiles; it's always been my favorite thing about the iPhone, and something I think every Android phone should have.
My favorite part of using the OnePlus 5 has easily been the
alert slider above the volume keys on the lefthand
side of the frame.
