This pose is great for toning the triceps and there are many versions of it including dolphin
plank,
side plank, upward
plank, standing hands to hands
etc..
I consider stuff like
planks,
side planks, chop and lift variations
etc. to be more stability drills.
If you really want to do some ab exercises, you should be doing
planks,
side planks, hanging knee raises, spider man climbs, mountain climbers,
etc..
Or simply insert them as assistance lifts in place of «standard movements» like dumbbell pressing,
side lunges,
planks,
etc..
