the sidebar ads on my blog.

sidebar, nothing is more frustrating than clicking
on someone's
blog with a bunch of pop ups and
ads.
Further, we have the «dating site in a box» vendors like SkaDate and Boonex (disclaimer: you'll see their
ads in the
sidebar on this
blog.)
If you have a WordPress
blog, use the «
Ad Rotator» plugin to rotate your book or books
on your
sidebar.
This is why you don't want to advertise your book
on just any
blog's
sidebar — you're paying to show that
ad to everybody.
You'd be much better off advertising
on one specific
blog that reviews books in your genre: pay for a
sidebar ad for a few weeks, rather than getting
on 10
blogs in a day.
Once your travel
blog gains momentum and popularity, you'll likely be contacted by all manner of advertisers looking for text links, guest posting opportunities
on your site, and
sidebar / banner
ads.

A while ago the founder of the website Points For Trips reached out to me to advertise
on this
blog (you can see their
ad in the righthand
sidebar).
Rather, once links to your law firm website or
blog are appearing at the top of the «SERPs» (Search Engine Result Pages), you need to entice people to click
on those links (much like good
ad copy is what gets people to click
on Google
ads in the right
sidebar).
You might want to check out one of the
ads on your
sidebar — not what I would expect to see
on your
blog page.
