All you need to do is copy that APK file to the /
Sideloaded Apps / folder and then launch ES Explorer on your Kindle Fire:
Either way, you should create a folder /
Sideloaded Apps / in the root, like so:
Navigate to /
Sideloaded Apps / and you'll see your APK file.
Whether you downloaded them with the Google Play web store trick or you copied them with App Backup, you now have the APK file and can simply copy it to the /
Sideloaded Apps / folder on your Kindle Fire.
Google will still help you if you do this, asking if you want to scan
your sideloaded apps for malware when you try to install them.
Moreover, there's a very direct correlation between the number of Pixel devices and Pixel Launcher installs because a) as mentioned above, the Pixel Launcher can only be installed on a Pixel or Pixel XL, b) each install only counts once per account (in terms of Google Play metrics, deleting an app or reinstalling does not effect the total number of installs) and c) Google does not count
sideloaded apps against an app's total install number.
The package installer link for
sideloaded apps won't do anything, though.
RIM is planning to disable support for
sideloaded apps on its BlackBerry PlayBook with a forthcoming update.

Just adding a datapoint: I have an unrooted Nook Tablet with several
sideloaded apps installed.

sideload the app somewhere else or to make things easier for you, why not install the Google Play Store so you can install those Android apps.
