Sidemount Diver course is a great way to start with technical diving because the skills you learn in this course will train you to handle multiple cylinders on a single dive.

From 12 to 20 August, Jeff will be with us to teach the three different levels of PADI TecRec instructor courses: Tec Instructor, Tec Deep Instructor and
Tec Sidemount Instructor.
After returning from the wonderful Singapore and ADEX show it was time to get down and dirty, and over the last week we have done lots of
sidemount diving in Bunaken.
A fairly new diver, he spent a few days learning to dive in
Sidemount configuration as well as taking a look at some of the book work ahead of him, leaving with a much better idea of what's involved in technical diving training.

Sidemount Instructor.
Combining the benefits
of Sidemount diving with a true solo diving qualification, this combo will introduce you to a new way of thinking about diving equipment configuration as well as turning you into a safer diver who truly plans their dives and controls every single aspect of any given dive — whether they set out by themselves or not.
At our dive resort in Bunaken, Two Fish Tech offer guests a free trial of
Sidemount equipment or twinsets in the swimming pool, and when another guest decided to take us up on the offer Simon decided only to join as a poolside spectator.
Whilst handed valves are great
for sidemount diving, you can just as easily rig up two run - of - the - mill DIN tanks.
You will get extra training including workshops such
as Sidemount, Equipment, Photography, Tank Filling and Conservation for free.
Tec
Sidemount offers many benefits, such as ease of Tec diving when traveling, reduced weight stress on the back, ease of getting back on the boat and increased comfort underwater.
With our unique Tech DM Internship you complete the basic divemaster internship to become a PADI DM and you get a thorough foundation in technical diving
including sidemount and twinset diving as well as qualifications to dive to 45 m with unlimited decompression using up to 100 % oxygen.

Sidemount Specialty in November at Joe's Gone Diving on Bali for just IDR5, 000,000.
Whilst this course can be taught on its own with a single cylinder and a pony bottle, we recommend a combination with the
TDI Sidemount Diver course.

Sidemount certified with Sandy; Ursula completed her Digital Underwater Photography specialty with Hiro; and Ishan completed his Wreck and Search & Recovery specialties with Dani & Hiro and finished his PADI Divemaster course!
Your Aqua Vision PADI Tec Instructor will have the technical diving equipment, including but not limited to — two tanks, primary and backup regulators, and technical diving BCD and harness or
sidemount harness.
The only thing that could possibly make the dive any better is if you are diving
on Sidemount using Nitrox!
Equipment (twinset or
sidemount tanks, backplate, wing and harness, back gas regulators, deco tank with rigging, O2 clean deco reg)
Tec intro and dive with Rebreather and
Sidemount systems, giving you some experience in technical diving.
Tec
Sidemount also gives you the opportunity to dive with 2 + cylinders for extended dive times.
For the occasion, Yvonne, our Tech Instructor also came over from Amed to give information about what she does and offered a free
sidemount trial the following day.
We also had four Advanced Open Water course, two Rescue courses, two nitrox specialties, one night diver and one
sidemount specialty course in the last few days.
Lembeh is now fully equipped to
handle sidemount divers and allow them to get in close to all the weird and wonderful creatures hiding out in the sand!
On day 1, our GM went through all of the basics with Ikhwan teaching him equipment configuration, confined water skills and his first open water dive using a
double sidemount configuration.
You'll use full technical equipment and you may use a
technical sidemount configuration, plus two stage / decompression cylinders.
Using Technical diving techniques and
sidemount instead of back mounted equipment offers divers access to more challenging and deeper, extended range diving, and a unique method of buoyancy control resulting in a more streamlined profile, reducing drag and making moving through the water much easier.
It doesn't make a difference if this is your first ever time doing any technical diving or if you've tried twinsets and
sidemount before, there are a few things you can do right now to make sure you get the most out of your time with your instructor.
Depth and decompression are not everything — it's about skills and knowledge and many divers start their journey as advanced open water divers with a
recreational Sidemount course or enjoy shallow dives on their rebreather.
Dive Instructor, EFR Instructor Trainer, Cavern Instructor, Full Cave and Trimix technical diver, who's usually
found sidemounting under ice near the Arctic circle or riding a dirt bike in the jungles of Thailand.
We also offer a broad range of specialty courses from technical intro courses
like Sidemount to marine ecology like Shark Aware and Dive against debris courses.
BCDs (buoyancy control devices) used
for sidemount are usually wing style with a harness and different tank attachment points than back - mount BCDs.
The PRO PLATINUM PACKAGE has all the benefits of the Silver Package internship but also includes 6 PADI Specialty Instructor Courses including PADI Nitrox Instructor (
Sidemount instructor is not an option for this package).

She currently teaches TDI instructors as well as both TDI / SDI and PADI TecRec divers to 60 and 50 meters respectively, in both backmount and
sidemount configuration.
Or our 1 - Month Divemaster Internship program in which you will get some extra training including workshops such
as Sidemount, Equipment, Photography, Tank Filling and Conservation for free.
You'll get hands - on training during one confined water session and four open water dives where you'll start with two tanks and add at least two more, maybe even getting to six
sidemounted cylinders.
My instructor ratings are PADI MSDT with multiple specialities
including sidemount, cavern, deep, EANx, drysuit; with over 100 certs.
If you're a PADI Open Water Diver who is at least 15 years old, you can enrol in a
PADI Sidemount Diver course.
