Then fold the waistband in half (with
right sides of the fabric together) and sew the short raw edges together to also form a loop.
Pull the short tail of the fabric so that it's hanging on top of the
other side of the fabric on the front of your body.
With right sides facing each other, fold the bottom end of your fabric upwards so that the right
side of the fabric lies against the right side of your zipper.
Place your fabric over the top of the Heat - N - Bond ensuring that the sticky side is facing the
back side of the fabric.
This makes a horizontal bar on the
right side of the fabric, which adds an interesting texture to an otherwise basic rib.
For example, in one direction, the satin charmeuse has three mirror - like highlights on the
front side of the fabric and four on the back.
You can now stick the other fabric piece on top (the back
sides of the fabric pieces should be facing each other) and line up the edges.
In fact, I was originally planning to use the matte
side of this fabric for my Jasmine blouse, and reverse it to make the collar shiny.
The lapels are unlined -LCB- the wrong
side of fabric shows -RCB- and so I chose to continue the gingham bias tape -LCB- self made -RCB- along the exposed front edges.
The fabric is coarse on one side and soft on the other, which means if you don't tie it properly, your baby's skin could be irritated by the

Stop around a cm (3/8 inch) before the point, this ensures a smoother finish on the right

Apply iron - on hem tape (I like Heat N Bond UltraBond Iron - on Adhesive) to one

other side of the fabric, and wrestle all that fabric around to pin the other side of the zipper to the other fabrics wrong side as well.
Hold your ring sling so that the tag (or
back side of the fabric) is facing up and the fabric isn't twisted or bunched.
