This is a movie where heartfelt realizations about bullying live in close proximity with
sight gags about penises being shoved through glory holes.
Cartoonish
sight gags about being hit in the head and poked in the eyes are better in small doses before it starts becoming repetitive.
And there is a scene inexplicably set at the LA Gun Club, the point of which is
a sight gag about carelessly handling firearms.
There's the trope of the disengaged dad (a warm and shaggy Ron Livingston) and even

Director Green does a great job with those action scenes — seeing Gary Cole do John Woo is a great
sight gag — but it's kind of strange how little I thought
about the direction throughout.
You don't have to know or care much
about the sport to enjoy the broad
