In later stages, the NLS - PCP - GFP fluorescent
signal is reduced at the posterior pole and Oskar protein (blue) is detected
by immunofluorescence, consistent with translation of a portion of the transcripts (see Halstead *, Lionnet *, Wilbertz *, Wippich * et al., Science 2015).
