child) demonstrates, without being moralistic or pedantic, the true spirit
of Christmas giving.

stories as The Gingerbread Man, Stone Soup, The Three Pigs, Snow While, Little Red Riding Hood, and The Frog Prince continue to be at the forefront
of fairy tales that are both
simple and memorable for

simple act like making and drinking tea is treated with the same complacent, wondrous gravity as magic that calls wave - monsters into being.
Here the acting is wooden (puppet wooden), lines spoken too fast (as if to emphasize their meaninglessness), the
child characters generally acting like adults, adults acting like
children, all running around in a
simple story, but even more, after awhile, you realize it is about a bunch sets and objects that look like a kid's dreams
of military heroism and futile activities carried out in an oddly precise manner.
The various twists and turns can be surprising, heartwarming, funny, but they stay true to the direction
of the
story he's telling and grounded in the
simple, unyielding anxiety and love
of parents for their
child.
It feels so different, and is in ways an art house horror about
children's social anxiety, among other reasons I would certainly recommend it as a
simple piece
of Hollywood entertainment mixed with elements
of a classic ghost
story.
All the
child actors are pretty good, unlike in say, The Chronicles
of Narnia, and while the
story is pretty
simple, the depth
of the world Rowling created is ridiculously impressive.
