I generally don't let the
warm weather deter me from a nice cup of tea, but
since I was pregnant for the majority of the
summer I wasn't able to enjoy my favorites as much as I normally like to (I try to lay off the caffeine as much as possible).
Since springtime is upon us (hello daylight savings time), with
summer following closely behind, I thought we needed a good iced drink to toast the
warmer weather with.
In this version, I opt for the chilled version,
since summer has just ended and the
weather is still fairly
warm, however, you can skip the step of adding it to the fridge to cool off, and serve it
warm.
But
since #YEG has been gifted with unseasonably
warm weather, I decided to feature them in a new
summer salad recipe.

The
weather records that the team collated showed that sea surface waters have
warmed by an average of 0.9 °C in the
summer - and 2.3 °C at the height of the southern winter, in August -
since 1925.
The study, published Sunday in the journal Nature Climate Change, is the first to find correlations between rapid Arctic
warming and extreme
summer weather events,
since previous research had focused on the links between Arctic
warming and fall and winter
weather patterns.
